What was once overlooked space beneath the stairs became an opportunity to expand the home’s functionality by nearly 60 square feet. By opening the wall and reimagining the footprint, we uncovered enough room to create a dedicated dog retreat and an additional full closet for much-needed storage.

The new dog room was thoughtfully designed to feel cozy yet integrated—a defined space that keeps daily essentials organized while giving the home’s pets a comfortable place of their own. Adjacent to it, the added closet provides practical storage that supports the home’s overall efficiency.
